So here's what I have so far/ what I know we need:

Desired Objects

I know Carrie is putting (or has put) a spreadsheet together, but I'm not sure how much of the Colonial Milieu team has on there that is staying/ relevant.  Here is an updated version of what we want.  It at the moment is without accession numbers (for the most part since some of them are mine I have the numbers)  and isn't 100% complete because my notebook is at home.  Whoops.

There are a couple more fabric type items that I'm pretty sure about, but I don't have my notebook and thus do not have the accession numbers for them yet so I will hold off on those.  I'm hoping to update this when I get home and have my notebook present.

World Fair

While I have literally only gotten 5 pages into All The Worlds A Fair (still the introduction) I already am seeing how included unilineal theory is being incorporated into world fairs. "But at the fairs, the idea of technological and national progress became laced with scientific racism" (Dr. Castaneda, this is part that you have underlined). While the book is about America and their culture it seems like a fairly easy transition towards colonized countries also putting on fairs and exhibitions (Tanzania).

Lab hours

Lab hours this week:
About an hour trying to mildly retweek our storyboard design
About half an hour trying to figure out how best to include Georges job history along with his father and grandfathers jobs (I was trying to avoid another timeline but that might be the only way to incorporate it)
An hour and a half looking through the book and trying to find information to be included. Lots of good quotes are in it but its hard to narrow it down.
About 20 minutes trying to figure out what needs to go in our text box so we can get all of that info for Nancy
About 45 minutes posting and scrolling through peoples blogs.
About 15 minutes on sacct on our group discussion board (which reminds me I haven't looked at that today).

I've been browsing the Official Record of the Tasmanian International Exhibition book that Professor Castaneda has posted.

That's the entirety of it, or at least it should bring you to the entirety of it.
If you look at the index it shows how much of the book/ exhibition was dedicated to the nature of Tasmania.
There is a portion that talks about how Tasmania was one of the healthiest colonies and how it had a much lower death rate than that of the European colonies. (I would post the actual portion, but I'm not sure how to get the picture of it.  It is on page 14).
There is also another section that talks about the large display made by the agriculturalists and horticulturalists of the colony on page 17
I also think that a portion of the Inaugural Cantata should be incorporated somehow. (page 39)

Lab Hours

Well a slightly more productive and successful week for myself and my objects. I figured out at least something about the silver heart box which was basically an empty catalog card before so that was exciting. 

Lab Hours:
2 hours spent online researching silver makers marks and then posting about it
about 15 minutes spent in the museum reassessing the silver heart box so that I could look up the makers mark
about half an hour in the library with Abbie doing our deed of gift assignment
about half an hour spent trying to come up with ideas for our storyboard.
